Meeting Details
November – Hemlock

We hope that you and your families are all doing well. This has been a hard year and we look forward to once again getting back to some kind of normalcy soon. The Executive has tried different ways to keep in touch with everyone and hopefully the Monthly handouts and zoom sessions have helped. We also had the virtual annual show this year. We are planning some more zoom sessions and if you have any ideas/suggestions for the club please let us know. This is your club and we want everyone to be able to participate, so lets work together and find ways to help everyone. Some suggestions could be more small group workshops, better use of our Facebook page, one on one meetings for those able to do so.

Attached is the final Handout for this year and many thanks to Darren, for all his hard work in putting these together. Also attached is the complete series.

September – Cypress

Hi Everyone, we hope that you are all doing well and working on your Bonsai as we move into winter. Andrew Robson’s virtual workshop on Deciduous Bonsai and his naturalistic approach to Bonsai styling brought something very new to me and was very informative. We have put together another great handout for the month of September on Cypress below.

June – Cotoneaster Virtual Meeting

I hope everyone has been able to work on their Bonsai.

This is the first time I was able to re pot most of my plants and do a major cleanup. Don’t forget to fertilize your plants and check any wiring that you may have done. Even though it has rained a lot, make sure your plants are not drying out. Our June Bonsai Show has gone virtual and will be launched on this website under Bonsai Shows tab July 20! Check it out on that date. Below is the fourth handout of this series on Cotoneasters.

May – Azalea Virtual Meeting

We hope that you and your families are okay during this difficult time. There will be no meeting in May and at the moment we do not know when we will be able to resume meetings. It also looks like our annual show may have to be cancelled. Your Executive is looking at different ways to have all members participate in some form of online communication. Darren has put together a series of handouts that we will send out each month, dealing with the topics that would of been part of that months agenda. Below is the third handout of this series on Azaleas. If you have any questions, please let me know.
